Looking for information on this family, Westchester Cty, New York Loyalists relocated to Canada through the Remsheg land grant. Have James Howard Ackerley (spelling varies) m. Martha Ellen Hazel in 1869 Pembroke, Hants, NS. His parents Isaac & Esther (no maiden known). Her parents Joseph & Margaret (maiden unknown, possibly Rolphe) Trying to track back from James to his ancestors. Any possible leads of interest. Thank you

Greetings from the Prairies: I am trying to collect information about my family who lived in the Wallace area in the late 1800's into the 1950's. Some of the children attended local schools in the Wallace area: how can I gain access to their names in rolls of attendance? Does anyone remember the family of: Sarah (nee: Rhindress) McFadden? Also, my Father went to sea when he was a young man. He spoke of sailing from the Wallace ports. Where can I obtain names and voyages of schooner ships from that era? Thank you for any information you can supply. Edith McFadden-Croft (nicky21@shaw.ca) You can find pictures of my ancestors on my face book page .... You can also borrow books I have written about growing up in Pugwash in the 1950's and early 1960's in the Pugwash library. Enjoy. From, Edith

Question ... is there going to be a schedule of events produced in the near future. Even if it is a tentative one, it will be something for some thinking of coming to NS to ponder. eg Handouts showing original sites, homesteads etc., Organized trips to visit grave sites? Horseshoe tournaments, guest speakers, tour guides etc. Just wondering as we hope to look to arrange for accommodation by the end of February and then schedule a three week vacation starting with the re-union.
